Welcome to Beech Class

Beech Class is supported by Teacher Toni and Teaching Assistants Henry and Kerry.

In Beech Class, we strive to provide a broad and engaging curriculum within a calm, supportive, and nurturing environment where students can thrive, build confidence, and make progress across all areas of learning.

Each day, students take part in English and Maths lessons, helping them to develop and strengthen previously acquired skills. Reading is an important part of our daily routine, and pupils enjoy both independent reading and shared class reading sessions. This term, our class novel is Percy Jackson and the Lightning Thief, and we are excited to explore the adventures, characters, and themes throughout the story.

Alongside our core subjects, students participate in a range of practical and enriching lessons, including Forest School, Food Technology, and Physical Education (PE). These opportunities help to develop independence, teamwork, communication, and life skills in enjoyable and meaningful ways.

This half term, our enrichment programme includes Music lessons, and after the October half term, students will have the exciting opportunity to attend Equine sessions, supporting personal development, confidence, and wellbeing.

We are looking forward to a fantastic year of learning, discovery, and achievement in Beech Class.
