Welcome to Willow Class

Willow Class is supported by our Teacher, Allen, alongside Teaching Assistants Claire. We aim to provide a calm, supportive environment where pupils feel safe, valued and ready to learn.

Willow Class combines structured teaching with practical, multi-sensory experiences to support students’ individual needs and promote independence.

Across all lessons, visual aids and strategies tailored to individual students are used, with the overall goal of instilling a love of learning and helping them develop personal confidence.

Our timetable includes daily English and maths, alongside opportunities to develop communication, social skills and independence throughout the day. Pupils have access to a broad and balanced curriculum, including regular outdoor learning through Forest School, to support confidence, teamwork and wellbeing.

Our Reading Book for the Autumn Term

Our book this term is The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time, by Mark Haddon. The cover includes this teaser: “Fifteen-year-old Christopher has a photographic memory. He understands Maths. He understands Science. What he can’t understand are other human beings.” Interesting.
